"Saturday, the Public Library will be unknowable. Citizens will forget the existence of the Library from 6am Saturday morning until 11pm that night. The Library will be under a sort of "renovation." It is not important what kind of renovation."

Loving the "Welcome to Night Vale" podcast! :)

More drought:

I didn't even notice it before the news told me. I like to attribute this to being busy wedding-planning and not to grievous inattention to my surroundings.

The Southern California sky is cloudy today. It is taunting us. We need rain. According to the statistics, we've only receieved 17% of our usual California winter precipitation. No one seems to care, in spite of the photos I just saw today showing how dry the San Gabriel Reservoir is. http://laist.com/2014/01/26/incredible_photos_of_a_drought-stri.php#photo-1

Meanwhile, my dad and my stepmom in North Dakota experience a blizzard so intense that they can barely see the house across the street.

In San Diego, no doubt, it is perfect weather for a day at the zoo or safari park.

In Riverside, it is perfect weather for a nap. :)

I can forgive Coldplay for "Clocks." It was 2002...things were changing fast...the world was on the brink...they had really enjoyed "Bitter Sweet Symphony"... I get it, I do.

But that is the only thing I can forgive Coldplay for.

I'm a little bit sad to be excluded from the polar adventures that so many of my fellow Canadians and Americans are having.

Here we are in SoCal, just living in one giant mall together, whizzing about between balmy palm trees and watching YouTube videos of Super Soaker snow and frozen bubbles at stoplights.

I may start writing in the blog again. Or it could just be the excitement of a new year that has me all dazzled. We'll see how it goes.
